Archive for January, 2012

I made a ton of cookies for a small local Farmer’s Market last weekend. The market barely had any customers. And the ones it did have, did buy a bag or a sample bag here and there. So if they had more customers, I am sure we would have done so much better. It was an overcast day and those don’t go over well here in Arizona!

So from Tuesday-Friday 27th, I am offering a deal where if you buy 3-4 bags, you get 3 bags free. BIG MAJOR DEAL!!

However, I know how limited supply for this deal. So snatch these babies up before Friday!

I have left:

3 Veggins

3 Squash Delights

2 Cheesy Pumpkin Bites

3 Caster’s Crackers

3 Decker’s Cookies

and

1 Freshies

So it looks like I have enough for only two more orders! So order asap if you want in on this deal! On the 3 remaining bags, I will do a buy 2 get 1 free.

THANKS!

Will be baking more this weekend and going to try another BIGGER market next week!

A neat craft to try out!

I know this isn’t dog related but it’s craft related and crafts can be really neat. So I am going to share one that I have been doing lately!

I have been recycling my soup cans and veggie cans and turning them into Luminaries. The project is quite simple and although they look kind of dorky during daylight hours, they look especially neat at night when they are in use! They look almost magical at night. You could even hang these babies in trees or on your patio as really neat lighting at night!

I saw these in a magazine a long time ago and I forgot about the project until a couple of days ago.

You will need:

Clean and dry soup/veggie cans (be careful of cleaning them in case they have sharp edges!)

A nail

A hammer

Water

And a sharpie if you want to draw designs on your can and then trace them later.

After you clean out your cans, draw a design on them (if you prefer to do so), fill them with water, and freeze the cans. You can do this in the morning and have them ready to craft come night time.

After the cans of water are completely frozen, take a nail and start hammering holes along the lines of the design that you drew on your can. After you are finished, take the can and run hot water in it until the ice has melted. Dry out your can carefully and put a tea light candle in the bottom of it. Then light the candle with a long lighter or long matches.

The can looks silly at first with the holes punched in it but then the candle is in it and the lights are low, they cast the most awesome designs on the wall and through the can. It’s really neat to look at, at night. Trust me. It’s so cool.

This is a project even kids can get into. Except for the cleaning of the cans and maybe the hammering depending on the age of the child. But the child can design their own drawing or pattern if they would like and you can nail the imagine into the can. They will be delighted with the finished project!

I will have to take some pictures with them lit up by the candles later on!

Ok, that’s it for the craft post! Remember that we still have our dog cookies to sell and tell your friends! For the month of January we are offering 10% off your purchase! So spread the news and order some cookies! You won’t be disappointed, I promise.

Website Ideas

I was thinking about website ideas and came up with a few. The two that I came up with is: 1.) talk about the ingredients in our cookies and how they benefit your dog and 2.) I will hold contests with prizes that can be randomly won if you leave a comment on a post that I make. I also thought about product reviews that I use with my dogs.

So these posts will be either daily or weekly. The first one that I am going to start out with is the ingredients in our cookies. That lesson will cover Spelt Flour. So stay tuned for these projects! And you never know when I am going to do a contest or give away.

xoxo,

Jen

P.S: What do YOU want to see on our blog? Leave your ideas or topics in the comments! If I use your idea I will put your name in a raffle or contest once I figure out what to give away!
